DISCORD BOT · BOT · DEPLOYMENT REVIEW

Give Discord communities a direct route to approved answers.

This deployment concept would bring Linkence into selected community channels while keeping the proposed knowledge boundary separate from Discord itself. Availability and implementation requirements must be confirmed before rollout.

    WHAT IT ADDS

A proposed conversational access point for approved Discord servers and channels.

This page describes a deployment concept, not a currently available product surface. Availability, identity, knowledge scope, and implementation requirements are confirmed during a deployment review.

    01

Conversation-first accessA supported bot deployment could let members ask from the channel where the discussion is already happening. The response would remain visible to people participating in that approved channel.

    02

Approved company contextThe proposed bot would be an access surface, not a source connector. Discord messages would not automatically join the knowledge base, and community members would not receive access to the broader internal workspace.

    03

Source-aware responsesA supported implementation could return references to the approved material behind a response. This would let members move from a short channel reply to the full documentation when needed.

    ILLUSTRATIVE DEPLOYMENT

Answer a setup question inside a developer community.

In a supported deployment, a community member could ask for a technical checklist in the channel where other developers are already helping. The proposed bot would use only documentation approved for that community and would not treat the rest of the server as source material.

    DEPLOYMENT PLAN

Confirm availability and every boundary before implementation.

    1. 01

Confirm Discord availabilityReview the intended server, audience, and required bot behavior with Linkence. Confirm implementation support before planning permissions or a launch date.

    2. 02

Design the access boundaryDefine where a future bot could be available and which Linkence knowledge it would be allowed to use. Public community content should remain separate from employee-only or partner-only material.

    3. 03

Validate before rolloutTest authentication, channel permissions, a representative question, response formatting, references, and revocation in an approved implementation before wider access.

    PROPOSED SURFACE BOUNDARY

Define the intended route before implementation begins.

WHAT WOULD TRAVEL THROUGH THE SURFACE
    • Question text
    • Approved workspace context
    • Response text
    • Source references
    WHAT WOULD REMAIN CONTROLLED
    • Server and channel access
    • Knowledge scope
    • Bot permissions
    • Deployment availability
    INTENDED FIT
    • Customer communities
    • Developer communities
    • Partner channels
    DEPLOY WITH A CLEAR BOUNDARY

Plan Discord bot for the right audience.

We will confirm availability, identity, knowledge scope, and deployment requirements before rollout.
